The WSET Level 1 Practice exam mimics the real examination. It involves 30 multiple choice questions and you are required to obtain a minimum score of 70% percent in order to pass the exam. This represents a score of at least 21/30. You will have 45 minutes to complete the examination.
Upon purchase of the exam package, you are able to take the exam multiple times. Each exam will use questions randomly drawn from our extensive (150+ question) database of Level 1 questions.
The overall weightings in our question bank reflect those that you will face in your multiple choice examination:
- Learning Outcome 1 (grape growing and winemaking): 20% of questions
- Learning Outcome 2 (key wine regions from around the world): 60% of questions
- Learning Outcome 3 (storage and service of wine): 20% of questions
