The WSET Level 2 Practice exam mimics the real examination. It involves 50 multiple choice questions and you are required to obtain a minimum score of 55% percent in order to pass the exam. This represents a score of at least 28/50. You will have one hour to complete the examination.
Upon purchase of the exam package, you are able to take the exam multiple times. Each time will be different, offering a range of questions from our extensive (210+ question) database of Level 2 questions.
The overall weightings in our question bank reflect those that you will face in your multiple choice examination:
- Learning Outcome 1 (environmental influences and grape growing): 10% of questions
- Learning Outcome 2 (winemaking and bottle ageing): 8% of questions
- Learning Outcome 3 (principal grape varieties, their characteristics & regions): 38% of questions
- Learning Outcome 4 (other grape varieties & regions): 24% of questions
- Learning Outcome 5 (sparkling and fortified wines): 12% of questions
- Learning Outcome 6 (storage and service of wine): 8% of questions
